We hope that during this summer season, you have been able to rest from your multiple responsibilities, which make such an important contribution to building God’s kingdom and a world of humanity.
The Society for the Propagation of the Faith supports the work of our Catholic overseas mission around the world. Pope Francis tells us “In the poor and outcast we see Christ’s face; by loving and helping the poor, we love and serve Christ.” Through supporting the projects of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, our love of God is made real and tangible. Thanks to this appeal, the Society for the Propagation of the Faith can finance projects that help millions of people to live in health and dignity, particularly women and children. It is estimated that over 390 million women and children are living in extreme poverty, and the Society’s projects in various dioceses, parishes, and schools contribute towards lessening the burdens that weigh so heavily on them and their friends.
The Society for the Propagation of Faith provides prayerful and financial support for the pastoral and evangelization programs of the Catholic Church in Africa, Asia, Oceania, and remote regions of Latin America. Some examples of projects that Propagation of Faith Society support are training and supporting catechists and seminarians, building schools and orphanage, helping to dig water pumps and sanitation facilities, and providing vocational training for young women to support their families.
Thanks to the generous contributions of donors like you, we have been able to approve over forty-five projects that will help parishes and communities become more Christ-like in their sharing of the little they have as a community.
We are writing to you again today in hopes that you can help us attain our appeal goal of $ 1 million so that we can support many life-saving projects. Each donation, no matter the amount, offers hope to those who need our solidarity the most. Thank you for walking with us to build God’s kingdom on earth.
